Header reflection via case-sensitive echo suppression
Published Oct 19, 2026 · Updated Oct 19, 2026
Header reflection in Apache Camel Platform HTTP allows remote attackers to echo request headers into responses via altered header casing. PlatformHttpEndpoint.enhanceHeaderFilterStrategyToSkipHttpRequestHeaders uses a case-sensitive set lookup against canonical header names, so lowercase HTTP/2 names always escape suppression. Exploitation requires a reachable affected route; reflected content provides a basis for response-splitting and cache-poisoning attacks whose downstream effects depend on intermediaries.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.0.0 <4.18.5
