Sandbox escape via ANGLE heap overflow
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Heap buffer overflow in ANGLE in Google Chrome before 148.0.7778.168 on Mac allows remote attackers to escape the sandbox. Google discloses neither the affected ANGLE routine nor the malformed graphics operation that overruns the heap buffer because the underlying issue remains restricted. Exploitation requires a crafted HTML page and user interaction; successful exploitation crosses Chrome's renderer isolation boundary.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
