Signature verification bypass via unsynchronized shared state
Published Oct 19, 2026 · Updated Oct 19, 2026
Race condition in Apache Camel PQC allows attackers to bypass message signature verification via concurrent exchanges. PQCProducer reuses one stateful java.security.Signature without synchronization, allowing interleaved update() and verify() calls to validate another exchange's data rather than the intended message. Concurrent traffic must reach the same PQC endpoint; verification success is nondeterministic and does not establish that the accepted message's signature was checked.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.12.0 <4.18.5
