Information disclosure via unfiltered socket exception replies
Published Oct 19, 2026 · Updated Oct 19, 2026
Information disclosure in Apache Camel's Mina consumer allows remote attackers to read internal details through failed socket exchanges. MinaConsumer sends exchange.getException() directly to the peer, exposing exception types and messages through the textline codec or serialized exceptions and nested causes through the object codec. Exploitation requires a reachable consumer and a processing failure; disclosure is limited to details carried by those exceptions, including paths, hostnames, and connection information.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
