CVE-2026-85243Hinoki check available

Message tampering via legacy-packet integrity bypass

Published Oct 19, 2026 · Updated Oct 19, 2026

Integrity bypass in Apache Camel Crypto PGP allows attackers to alter accepted message content via legacy OpenPGP packets. The unmarshal() method verifies the modification detection code only for integrity-protected packets, accepting sender-selected legacy packets without that check. Exploitation requires control of messages reaching a PGP decryption route; unsigned messages are accepted when signature verification remains optional, leaving decrypted content unauthenticated.
