Authenticated domain modification via read-only permission check
Published Sep 3, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
Improper authorization in SpecterOps BloodHound 9.0.0 through 9.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to modify domain graph data. NewV2API registers PATCH /api/v2/domains/{object_id} with GraphDBRead rather than GraphDBWrite, letting read-authorized accounts invoke PatchDomain. Low-privileged API access is required, and successful requests can change domain records exposed by the endpoint.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
