Sandboxed code execution via WebAudio out-of-bounds write
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in WebAudio in Google Chrome before 148.0.7778.168 allows remote attackers to execute code inside its sandbox. The WebAudio implementation writes beyond an intended memory buffer while processing attacker-controlled page content; the specific function and buffer remain undisclosed. A user must open a crafted HTML page, and resulting execution remains confined to the Chrome sandbox absent a separate escape.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
