Authenticated command execution via unquoted Add-On parameters
Published Sep 3, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
OS command injection in D-Link DNS-340L 1.01B04 allows remote authenticated users to execute shell commands through Add-On Center. The download_install_addon branch of /cgi-bin/addon_center.cgi inserts f_name and f_login_user outside shell quotes and lets f_url escape its quotes before passing the assembled download_apkg command to /bin/sh -c. Authenticated web-management access is required; exploitation runs commands as the CGI process user and can alter configuration, install or remove files, or interrupt NAS services.
