Administrative takeover via plaintext token logging
Published Sep 3, 2026 · Updated Sep 3, 2026
Sensitive data exposure in SiYuan before 3.8.2 allows remote authenticated users to recover an admin API token from a readable log file. The Timing middleware logs the full RequestURI, including a token query parameter, when fullTextSearchBlock exceeds 15 seconds, while IsForbiddenAbsPath leaves /temp/siyuan.log readable through getFile. Any authenticated account that can fetch the log after a slow search can reuse the recovered token for persistent administrative API access until rotation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
