CVE-2026-85168Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Remote code execution via unneutralized Git configuration

Published Sep 3, 2026 · Updated Sep 3, 2026

Remote code execution in the Git node in n8n before 1.123.73, 2.35.4, and 2.36.2 allows remote authenticated users to run commands. The node clears a fixed list of command-bearing Git settings but omits content-filter and merge-driver keys, allowing matching repository attributes to invoke configured commands. Exploitation requires workflow access and a prepared repository, and commands run with the n8n process user's access.
