Memory disclosure via DataTransfer input validation
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Improper input validation in Google Chrome DataTransfer before 148.0.7778.168 allows remote attackers to read process memory through crafted HTML. Google identifies DataTransfer as the affected locus but has not published which input is accepted incorrectly or how the resulting memory disclosure occurs. Exploitation requires a user to perform specific UI gestures on the attacker-controlled page; no write or code-execution impact is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
