Unauthorized backend access via hard-coded client secrets
Published Oct 6, 2026 · Updated Oct 6, 2026
Hard-coded secrets in Schmooze for Android 5.2.7 and earlier and iOS 5.2.1 and earlier allow remote attackers to access backend resources. The distributed client package embeds credentials and cryptographic keys that remain recoverable when attackers decompile the app. Obtaining the app package requires no account; extracted secrets enable unauthorized backend or cloud access and forged client requests, although the affected services and permissions are undisclosed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
