Authenticated code execution via unsafe archive extraction
Published Sep 3, 2026 · Updated Sep 3, 2026
Unrestricted upload in ILIAS 9.0 through 9.21, 10.0 through 10.9, and 11.0 through 11.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. ZipAdapter extracts subtitle ZIP entries directly beside the uploaded archive without rejecting unsafe paths or restricting file extensions. MediaPool upload access is required; a crafted archive can place server-executable content and compromise the application host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
