Administrator-session script execution via origin prefix check
Published Sep 26, 2026 · Updated Sep 26, 2026
DOM-based XSS in File Manager, FileOrganizer, and Filester allows remote attackers to run JavaScript in an administrator session. The bundled elFinder browser accepts a message origin when it is merely a leading prefix of the site address instead of requiring an exact match. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to visit an attacker-controlled page, after which forged messages execute script with that administrator's site privileges.
