CVE-2026-8508Public exploit

WLAN captive portal bypass via unvalidated identity fields

Published Aug 4, 2026 · Updated Aug 4, 2026

Improper authentication in Zyxel WAX650S firmware 7.10(ABRM.4)C0 and earlier allows attackers on the WLAN to bypass its captive portal. The social_login.cgi backend accepts browser-supplied Facebook identity fields without validating the access token with Facebook. The attacker must already be on the WLAN and can skip social-login authentication, but no configuration change or device compromise is established.
