Header injection via missing CRLF validation
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
HTTP response header injection in Sanic before 24.12.1 and in 25.12.0 allows remote attackers to inject headers through reflected input. The HTTP/1.1 serializer in sanic/response/types.py writes header names and values without rejecting carriage-return or line-feed characters. Exploitation requires an application to place attacker-controlled data in response headers, filenames, or cookie attributes, enabling injected cookies, cache poisoning, security-header corruption, or response splitting.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
