Host file disclosure via unrestricted require loader
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Sandbox escape in ZITADEL Actions V1 3.0.0 through 3.4.12 and 4.0.0 through 4.16.0 allows remote authenticated users to read host files. The Action executor creates goja's Node-compatible require registry with its default filesystem loader, so a script can load paths readable by the server process. Exploitation requires organization Action-writing and flow-writing privileges; exposed configuration or bootstrap credentials can enable instance-level escalation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
