Leaderboard inflation via attacker-controlled starting balance
Published Sep 3, 2026 · Updated Sep 3, 2026
Business logic error in AI-Trader allows remote attackers to inflate displayed account equity through the self-registration API. The route accepts attacker-supplied initial_balance as starting cash, causing absolute cash and equity fields to use an inflated baseline. Registration requires no existing account; return percentages use the same baseline, limiting the effect to cosmetic leaderboard gaming in a simulated environment.
