Authenticated code execution via path traversal
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Path traversal in IBM Guardium Data Protection 12.2 allows remote authenticated users to read or delete files or execute code. The product fails to keep an attacker-controlled pathname within its intended restricted directory, but IBM has not identified the affected interface or file operation. Low-privileged network access and high-complexity conditions are required; exploitation can expose sensitive data, remove arbitrary files, or run arbitrary code.
