Stored XSS via unescaped Elementor showTitle attribute
Published Sep 30, 2026 · Updated Sep 30, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in EmbedPress 4.4.9 through 4.6.6 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in visitors' browsers. The Elementor widget writes its showTitle setting into an HTML attribute without sanitizing or escaping the value, allowing crafted markup to persist in page content. Exploitation requires Contributor-level or higher access and a viewer to load affected content; script execution is confined to the viewer's browser context.
