Authenticated code execution via Quartz deserialization
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Insecure deserialization in IBM Guardium Data Protection 12.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The Quartz JDBC job store deserializes attacker-controlled job data without establishing that the serialized objects are safe. Exploitation requires a high-privileged authenticated account and can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability on the appliance.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
