Path traversal in Reader Tools PDF Reader for Android 98.8 allows local users to modify files outside the intended directory. ActSplashNew.handleDeeplink resolves the untrusted _display_name intent value as a file path without adequate traversal sanitization. Exploitation requires local access through an Android intent and is bounded to file modification and app-level service interruption.
