CVE-2026-84807Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Team-lead privilege escalation via reused team names

Published Sep 2, 2026 · Updated Sep 2, 2026

Improper authorization in Kimai before 2.65.0 allows remote authenticated users to gain team-lead rights through team creation. Kimai reuses an existing team when a customer, project, or activity has the same name, then adds the requester as teamlead without checking authority over that team. Project permission-management privileges and an authenticated account are required; successful exploitation grants administration over the matched team.
