Unauthorized team access via view-only permission checks
Published Sep 2, 2026 · Updated Sep 2, 2026
Improper authorization in Kimai before 2.63.0 allows remote authenticated users to grant teams access to restricted entities. The customer, project, and activity team-access POST endpoints require edit permission on the team but only view permission on the target entity before writing that entity into the team's access-control list. Exploitation requires team edit rights plus read-only target access and changes which team members can reach customer, project, or activity data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
