Restricted asset metadata disclosure via missing volume checks
Published Sep 2, 2026 · Updated Sep 2, 2026
Missing authorization in Pixel & Tonic Craft CMS 5.7.0 through 5.10.11 allows remote authenticated users to read restricted asset metrics. AssetsController::actionMoveInfo accepts arbitrary folderIds or assetIds, expands descendants, and aggregates count and size without calling the volume view-permission check. Control panel access is required; the response exposes only aggregate asset counts and storage bytes, not filenames or file contents.
