Unauthorized alert creation via missing scope validation
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Broken access control in OpManager and Firewall Analyzer through 12.8.710 lets remote authenticated users create out-of-scope alerts. The alert-notification creation operation accepts a firewall identifier without validating that the firewall belongs to the user's assigned scope. A low-privilege account and either Firewall Analyzer or an enabled OpManager Firewall Analyzer plug-in are required; exploitation causes unauthorized alert delivery.
