Site takeover via unrestricted signature-field upload
Published Sep 19, 2026 · Updated Sep 19, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in Themefic Ultra Addons for Contact Form 7 before 3.5.51 allows remote attackers to store files at a public path. The signature field accepts a file without checking its type or extension and preserves the supplied extension at a predictable URL. Unauthenticated form access is sufficient; .phar executes as PHP on default Debian and Ubuntu Apache stacks, enabling site takeover, while other stacks expose stored cross-site scripting.
