Unauthenticated shortcode execution via form field repopulation
Published Sep 28, 2026 · Updated Sep 28, 2026
Shortcode injection in WPForms Lite 1.5.0.1 through 2.0.2 allows remote attackers to run registered shortcodes through public form submissions. The form-block repopulation path returns submitted field values to the rendered form without removing shortcode delimiters. A publicly accessible affected form is required; execution can expose details of attachments belonging to non-public posts, while other effects depend on the site's registered shortcodes.
