Authenticated command execution via faulty Jinja filtering
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Jinja template injection in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform allows remote authenticated users to execute commands and disclose secrets. The sanitize_jinja guard uses expressions that stop at an interior brace or percent sign, allowing valid nested Jinja to reach ansible-core templating. Low-privileged access to affected launch fields is sufficient to bypass command allowlists or expose co-attached credential secrets.
