Unauthenticated root command execution via setProductVer
Published Oct 1, 2026 · Updated Oct 1, 2026
Command injection in the TDDPv2 service on TP-Link Systems Inc. Archer AX90 V1 allows remote attackers on adjacent networks to run root commands. During device boot, the setProductVer handler in /usr/bin/tddp fails to keep attacker-controlled command data separate from operating system command execution; the exact shell invocation has not been published. The attack requires access to the adjacent network but no authentication, and successful execution grants control of the router as root.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
