Authenticated sandbox disablement via unchecked data-bound setter
Published Sep 2, 2026 · Updated Sep 2, 2026
Missing authorization in Script Security Plugin 1412.v7737b_3405f86 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to disable the global sandbox. A @DataBoundSetter method controlling the force-sandbox setting accepts Stapler-bound form data without checking the caller's permission. An authenticated user who can submit a compatible form can weaken system-wide script isolation, allowing subsequently run scripts to avoid the globally required sandbox.
