Sandbox escape in the quarantine component of Apple macOS allows local users to run an app outside its assigned sandbox. Apple states only that improved checks addressed the issue and has not disclosed the exact deficient check or unsafe operation in quarantine. A locally running sandboxed app is required; macOS Sequoia before 15.8, macOS Tahoe before 26.7, and macOS Golden Gate before 27 are affected.
