Gatekeeper bypass via undisclosed autofs logic
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
A logic issue in autofs in Apple macOS before 15.8, before 26.7, and before 27 allows local apps to bypass Gatekeeper checks. Apple identifies the locus as autofs but has not disclosed which operation lacks checks or what app-controlled input reaches it. A locally running app is required, and successful exploitation defeats Gatekeeper's trust check without any separately reported privilege gain or data access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
