Unauthenticated account takeover via forged Apple JWT
Published Aug 1, 2026 · Updated Aug 1, 2026
Authentication bypass in WPWeb Elite WooCommerce Social Login 2.8.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to access any WordPress account. The Apple login handler base64-decodes id_token payloads without verifying JWT signatures or issuer, audience, and expiry claims. A publicly exposed login-flow nonce enables unauthenticated use; a forged email claim starts a session with the matched user's privileges.
