Unauthenticated job-dispatch denial via scheduler lock starvation
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Denial of service in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform automation-controller allows remote attackers to stall job dispatch without authentication. Four production-routed debug views accept unauthenticated requests and invoke internal schedulers that take the cluster-wide advisory lock used by legitimate scheduler runs. Repeated requests make legitimate nonblocking lock acquisitions fail, skipping scheduler runs for all tenants while consuming controller web workers.
