Browser script execution via unescaped address autocomplete
Published Sep 2, 2026 · Updated Sep 3, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in OpenCart 4.1.0.3 and 4.1.0.4 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through address_1. The account address workflow stores address_1 and later inserts it into autocomplete output without neutralizing browser-active markup. Exploitation requires a customer account and victim interaction; successful payloads execute in the victim's browser and can alter displayed content or actions.
