Browser traffic interception via unauthenticated proxy control
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Improper authentication in Fortinet FortiPAM Chrome Extension 7.4 and 8.0 allows remote attackers to proxy browser traffic. The extension accepts an attacker-controlled server as trusted and lets a malicious website change the browser proxy route. No authentication is required, but a user must visit the malicious site; subsequent browser traffic can traverse attacker infrastructure and expose session data.
