Authorization bypass via non-boundary base stripping
Published Sep 2, 2026 · Updated Sep 2, 2026
Authorization bypass in Astro 7.2.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to reach protected routes via crafted base-prefix paths. BaseApp.removeBase and duplicated routing helpers stripped matching string prefixes without requiring equality or a following slash, so routing and middleware evaluated different paths. Exposure requires a non-root base and middleware authorization based on context.url.pathname; successful requests reach routes that the middleware intended to protect.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
