Theme change via missing options-page nonce validation
Published May 20, 2026 · Updated May 20, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in JaviBola Custom Theme Test 2.0.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to change a site's active theme. The options-page handler accepts the jbct_theme setting and updates the active-theme option without validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to submit the forged request, such as by following an attacker-controlled link, and the bounded consequence is an unauthorized theme switch.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
