Use-after-free in Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird allows remote attackers to escape the content sandbox by opening malicious content. Mozilla identifies the DOM Navigation component as using an object after its lifetime ends, but the affected function and lifetime transition remain undisclosed. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-supplied content; a successful attack crosses the security boundary intended to contain malicious content.
