Subscriber-level stored XSS via unescaped form fields
Published Sep 26, 2026 · Updated Sep 26, 2026
Stored XSS in WP Review Slider Pro before 12.7.12 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through review submission form fields. The form-saving AJAX handler lacks a capability check, accepts a nonce issued to every visitor, and stores field values that public pages render without escaping. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the injected script executes in the browser context of anyone who views an affected page.
