Private-response disclosure via case-sensitive cache directives
Published Jun 3, 2026 · Updated Jun 3, 2026
Information disclosure in Django 5.2 before 5.2.15 and 6.0 before 6.0.6 allows remote attackers to read improperly cached responses. UpdateCacheMiddleware and cache_page compare manually set Cache-Control values against lowercase blocking directives without first normalizing case. Exposure requires an application to set a mixed- or uppercase private directive manually and use Django's shared response cache.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
