Process crash via recursive empty-frame reads
Published Oct 2, 2026 · Updated Oct 2, 2026
Uncontrolled recursion in Apache Thrift Go transports before 0.25.0 allows remote attackers to crash a service with empty framed messages. TFramedTransport and THeaderTransport call Read again rather than loop when a received frame supplies no payload bytes, allowing repeated frames to exhaust the Go stack. Exposure requires a reachable service that uses an affected transport; the resulting fatal stack error terminates its process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
