CVE-2026-83602Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Unauthenticated settings writes via unchecked API ACL

Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026

Access-control bypass in Netdata Agent before 2.11.0 allows remote attackers to write dashboard settings without authentication. The route uses HTTP_ACL_NOCHECK and HTTP_ACCESS_ANONYMOUS_DATA, so api_v3_settings.c accepts PUT content and saves it as {varlib}/settings/default.json. Any network-reachable caller can persist nearly 20 MiB of JSON per write and manipulate its version counter, but the file does not govern collection or security policy.
