CVE-2026-83598Public exploitHinoki check available

SYSTEM code execution via PowerShell profile loading

Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026

Local privilege escalation in Netdata Agent 2.0.0 through 2.10.3 allows local users to execute commands as SYSTEM during MSI repair. The Windows installer launches powershell.exe as SYSTEM without -NoProfile, causing it to load the initiating user's Microsoft.PowerShell_profile.ps1. A low-privileged user who writes commands to that profile and starts MSI repair gains SYSTEM-level code execution.
