Off-site redirection via malformed post-login rd parameter
Published Oct 1, 2026 · Updated Oct 1, 2026
Open redirect in oauth-proxy allows remote attackers to send users to an external site after login through a crafted rd parameter. The GetRedirect path reads rd from the request, but incomplete validation of slash-backslash and slash-tab forms lets an external destination through. The attack requires a user to follow the crafted link and complete authentication; the off-site destination supports phishing rather than direct credential disclosure by the proxy.
