Stored XSS via unescaped pop_tag widget output
Published Sep 19, 2026 · Updated Sep 19, 2026
Stored XSS in Gum Addon for Elementor 1.3.15 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through pop_tag. The Popover Button widget reads the attacker-controlled pop_tag setting and renders it into page markup without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to save the payload, which then runs in the browser of anyone who visits the affected page.
