Code execution via expmt.exe out-of-bounds write
Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in expmt.exe in Rockwell Automation Arena Simulation 17.00.00 and earlier allows attackers to execute code. The Siman expmt.exe component fails to validate user-supplied file data before writing it beyond the bounds of allocated memory. Exploitation requires an affected user to open a malicious file and runs arbitrary code in the context of the current Arena process.
