Token validation bypass via unverified JWKS retrieval
Published Sep 2, 2026 · Updated Sep 2, 2026
Improper certificate validation in Eclipse aeriOS API Gateway development builds allows man-in-the-middle attackers to subvert token validation. Its Helm templates hard-code KrakenD disable_jwk_security to true, suppressing TLS certificate checks while retrieving bearer-token signing keys. An attacker must intercept the JWKS connection; a substituted key set then causes attacker-signed tokens to pass signature validation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
