Authenticated SMF crash via missing profile dereference

Denial of service in Open5GS SMF 2.7.0 through 2.7.7 allows remote authenticated users to crash the SMF via a malformed update. smf_nsmf_handle_update_data_in_vsmf accepts an item lacking qosFlowProfile, then dereferences that null pointer while formatting a validation error. The request must reach the SMF service-based interface and reference an active session; process exit interrupts session management.
